The Hunt for Fang by Amanda Cleary Eastep

Tree Street Kids, book 2

Jack Finch and his friends learn some survival skills at the church’s summer camp. They’ll need them! Determined to find Ruthie’s lost cat and protect Jack’s new puppy from Fang, the local wildlife, the kids head deep into the woods. Just when they think they’ve cornered the “enemy,” the kids realize someone has gone missing. Is Fang up to no good? Or will faith and friendship be enough to see the kids make it out alive?

The Hunt for Fang, book 2, Tree Street Kids

“As a dad of four, I can say first hand, this book and the series to come will be a new family favorite.”

Brock Eastman, author of The Quest for Truth series

“The Tree Street Kids will be one of those book series you and your kids want to read again and again. These neighborhood kids are so funny and real and engaging; they seem like they might just live next door. I loved tagging along as they tackled big adventures and grappled with real-life situations. As a Christian parent, I treasure books that tell great stories and point children to God. Yes, both things are possible, and Amanda does it well. Enjoy!”

What inspired me to write The Hunt for Fang? I’ve had a lifelong love of nature and believe we were created to steward it responsibly and lovingly. My elder daughter shares that, and she eventually studied the suburban coyote population as part of her master’s degree environmental biology. WATCH THIS VIDEO of the two of us visiting a coyote pup at the nature center where my daughter interned to announce the title of book 2.

REVIEWS & INTERVIEWS

The Hunt for Fang is a wonderfully written, thoughtful, and exciting story. Whether your young reader is looking for survival adventure, stories of friendship, or maybe a story about pets, this is a great pick.” –Sara Masarik, The Plumfield Moms | Full Review

“The little touches in Jack vs the Tornado and The Hunt for Fang make the Tree Street Kids series exceptional. Warmth, authenticity, and a child’s sense of curiosity grace each page of these books, and the cute illustrations & fun, quick ‘story breaks’ (like glimpses at other middle grade novels through the eyes of Ellison, or biology facts from Jack’s Ramona-esque sister Midge… and more) keep the entertainment level high.” –Carrie Schmidt, Reading Is My Superpower | Full Review
